Emotional Intelligence

Groundbreaking research by Daniel Goleman and the Hay Group has shown that EQ - the ability to recognise and manage one's emotions and those of others, and to motivate self and others - is a much better predictor of success as a leader than IQ. The Hay Group has identified a cluster of emotional competencies that are based on EQ, but that are learned capabilities that can be improved to increase results at work, and indeed all areas of one's life.

Dattner Grant has developed a one- and two-day workshop on Emotional Intelligence that explores the research and key concepts, then specifically and pragmatically guides leaders on how to apply this to improve their leadership capability and organisational performance.

This workshop can stand alone or be incorporated as part of a long-range leadership development program. The administration of the Emotional Competence Inventory (ECI), in partnership with the Hay Group, forms a foundational part of the program and is a highly beneficial developmental tool for individual leaders and leadership teams.
