My role at Dattner Grant is Business Partner and Executive Assistant. I can honestly say, this is unlike any other EA role I’ve had in the past. In ways it is hard to describe, the role is so much more.
I work very closely with DG’s founding partners, Jim Grant and Fabian Dattner, both on regular EA duties (diary management, appointment setting, preparation for meetings, keeping people on track, assisting with speaking engagements, etc.), and also managing extensive client programs covering leadership development, cultural and transformational change, strategy and team building. By ‘managing client programs’, I mean that I work very closely with other EAs, L&D teams or HR teams, sometimes even CEOs, within our client companies to work out the logistics of their programs.
This means locking in dates, venues and facilitators/coaches, ensuring that we have a logical timeline with diagnostics and preparation of materials in the lead-up to a program, scheduling coaching and follow-up sessions, and everything else in between. Basically, ensuring we have a well-managed process from the very beginning to the very end of a program, and assisting our clients with whatever they may need along the way from us.
